Now that 2020 is over, everybody wants to know what is going to happen in real estate for 2021. Hey everybody, I’m Lance Dunn with Keller Williams. And just wanted to shoot a quick video here just to chat real quick about what I think is going to be happening in 2021. It’s Monday right now, the first day of the new year, and I’ve been on the phone with some past clients and some clients of mine who had planned on making some changes in real estate in the new year. And so far, my conversations have been going really well. So one thing we know about what happened last year was even though there was a lot of terrible things that happened, real estate in New Jersey here, especially in the counties where I work, in Hunterdon County, Somerset County, it was a banner year for real estate.
We broke some records, prices were through the roof. It was great for sellers. It was difficult for buyers because they had to compete against other buyers. There was not enough houses for them to purchase. So I know that there was a lot of buyers who did not get into homes last year. Now that the holidays are over, they’re going to be coming back out of the woodwork now that the new year is here. And I think it’s going to be a lot different from years in the past, because they’re not going to necessarily wait to the spring, people still need houses.
